Starting her early...

As most of my friends and family know, I am a Diet Pepsi addict. At my height of Pepsi drinking, I was known to kill off a six-pack inside of a couple hours. I think I may have even pushed it by completing a 12-pack inside a day during college finals, but I cannot remember ALL of my personal accomplishments.

Anyways, the point of this post is to show all of you that I am starting Alyssa early. Aron has already had a sip of Pepsi, a finger of a malty beverage, and sucked on bacon grease. Hey, gets them ready for the wonderful world of fine foods that they will experience later in life.

DISCLAIMER...

When one has children, this tends to skew one's view on life. However, when one has more than one child at once, it makes it all the more skewed viewpoint. So if ever anything posted on this site seems a bit odd or unusual, well, that is quite the normal for me. They do not refer to me as a Pest for nothing.... :-)

The Force is strong...

It has been brought to my attention that the similarities between my Twins and one of the more famous sets of fictional Twins are uncanny. I am referring to the Skywalker Twins of the Star Wars episodes III through VI.

For example, Luke was born first, as was Aron, and Leia was second by the same amount of time of two minutes. All four individuals look nothing alike, with Luke and Aron having blue eyes while their sisters have brown eyes. Even right now, Aron shares the fine blond hair of his fictional counterpart, although it will be a while for the infamous Princess Leia hairstyle to show up on Alyssa.

We've come a long way, babies...

Mommy is typing this for us because we can not do that just yet.

We are now five months old and we have come a long way. When we were born, we only weighed about 4.5 lbs each, and spent some time in the Special Care Nursery at St. Ann's in Westerville. Since then, we have tripled our weight, grown some cheeks (both sets!) that are easy to pinch, moved into larger clothing, learned to smile, coo, grab things, and even started various baby foods. We have moved from eating what was to us a large meal of 2oz every three hours to now at least 5oz every three hours. We can, on occasion, sleep entirely through the night when we have exhausted ourselves. Sister likes to talk to herself, but Brother likes to be the mover and shaker of the two of us. Mommy puts us down on the floor and finds Brother halfway out the door because he has moved so much. We even have given Mommy her first grey hairs!

But the best part is, we have trained our mommy and daddy right so that when we are unhappy, they come running to make us happy again! :-)

Bribery at its finest...

You know how when you get married, there is ALWAYS the story about something embarrassing that happened to the bride or the groom? Well, I have got Aron's story and picture right here. Hey, at least he is covered up!

My bad...

In my previous posting, I mentioned that we had put up pictures of Babies in various situations that would get us in trouble with Child Services. I mentioned that we had pictures of Babies being laid on by dogs, Babies in Laundry baskets, and Babies with beer bottles and remotes in their hands. However, I failed to realize that I did not have a picture of Babies with beer bottles and remotes. Please allow me to correct that statement at this time and note that the above pictures are from the Tiny Days of early September when Senor Pantload and Senorita Butt Trumpet did not weigh as much as your Thanksgiving Turkey.

Enjoy!

Yet another picture...

Joel has said that this is yet another picture that would get us in trouble if anyone in the Child Services looked at this site. So far, we have put up pictures of Babies in laundry baskets, Babies with dogs laying on them, and Babies with Beer bottles and remotes. Why not add a baby buried by a pile of laundry? The weirdest thing is that she seemed to *really* enjoy it big time. :-)

So you wanted to know...

So you wanted to know what carrying two babies up the stairs at the same time looks like? Well, here you go. And let me tell you, you need to have some serious arm strength as well as a good back because when your baby boy weighs as much as a Thanksgiving turkey and the little girl is not too far behind, you have close to 30 lbs you have to take up the stairs. :-)

In memorial...

I am posting something non-baby related because I need to.

The following two pictures are of my family dogs, Sandy and Minnie. Both have since passed away and have left a gaping hole in my family's lives. I hope that you are both in a better place and without pain and suffering any more. We miss you greatly. :-(

Of Senor PantLoad and Senorita ButtTrumpet

Despite my best efforts to get the Babies to unleash their colons on a regular basis, nothing has helped The Babies still only do Numbah 2 on an every 3-day schedule. Unfortunately, they are both on the same day at about the same time. So, if you smell one stinky patrol, you know that there will be another one that will soon follow. I think that the worst part is Aron's changing session. He likes to keep moving legs, arms, basically whatever body part will wiggle. The problem is most of the time he has managed to land a foot or two in the diaper.

"Aron's Stinky patrol is really gross, stinky patrol I hate the most....EWWW!""

Hooray for Cereal...Part 2!

Okay, when I had done the original post a few days ago, we were only able to capture Alyssa. This time, I have pictures of Aron, who, by the way, thoroughly enjoys the booster/high chair. So, enjoy!

Finally...

We have finally taken some professional pictures. Obviously, everything thus far has been from our own camera but last night we went to Babies R Us and had some pics taken. I know that I said that I would NEVER treat them as twins with respect to dressing them in the same outfits, but I broke this rule just this one and only time. As you can see, we are training the Babies right by making them future Buck Nuts. Even their socks say "OSU!" (Outfits are compliments of Grandma and Grandpa B.) And no, Alyssa is NOT smelling a dirty poopy diaper. She was caught in the middle of a freaking huge grin... :-)
